“In adverse conditions the terreiro community created conditions for the Xango Stone to be recognized and designated as a cultural and geological heritage. Candombé is a symbol of ancestrality, resistance, transmission of knowledge and traditions belonging to a suffering people that, despite living in a diaspora, managed to reelaborate their worldview and to survive with their faith.
